AGRD Partners, a private equity-powered group of European law firms, today announces that Malmö-based business law firm Moll Wendén has joined the group. The acquisition, which marks the group’s first investment in the south of Sweden, further strengthens AGRD Partners’ position in the regional market.
The acquisition of Moll Wendén follows a series of strategic additions by AGRD, which earlier this month announced that leading Icelandic law firm BBA//Fjeldco had joined the group.
Founded in 2003, Moll Wendén is a Malmö-based business law firm offering specialist legal advice across fifteen practice areas, including employment, corporate, real estate, construction, public procurement, and dispute resolution. The firm combines strong regional roots with an extensive international network to build longstanding relationships with a global client base.
Moll Wendén’s continued investment in innovation and legal technology also aligns with AGRD’s focus in this area. As well as actively using a range of digital tools across the firm, Moll Wendén also engages in several legal tech collaborations, including the Global Legal Tech Alliance, which promotes the development and adoption of legal technology across jurisdictions.
“Moll Wendén stands out for its combination of specialist expertise, regional strength and forward-looking approach to the evolution of legal services,” said Maria-Pia Hope, Group CEO of AGRD Partners. “The firm has built an impressive presence in the Öresund market, while also demonstrating strong investment in innovation and legal technology, aligning closely with our long-term strategy.”
The addition of Moll Wendén represents a significant milestone in AGRD Partners’ continued expansion, as it sees strong interest in its model across the Nordics and internationally. In the past five months, the group has added four new firms across two markets. This includes Sweden’s Wigge and Bokwall Rislund in January, and Iceland’s BBA//Fjeldco in May.
“We have always focused on delivering high-quality legal advice through international, innovative ways of working,” said Ebba Walberg Snygg, Managing Partner at Moll Wendén. “Joining AGRD Partners gives us access to broader resources and expertise, allowing us to build on what we do best.
As with other AGRD member firms, Moll Wendén will continue to operate under its own name and brand while engaging in shared initiatives and drawing on the platform’s infrastructure, including coordinated investment in technology and AI across the group, enabling the firm to enhance its service delivery and support its ambition to be at the forefront of emerging technologies in the legal industry.
